Surly's new fattie

Picture of the Pugsly prototype mentioned in yesterdays post. Got it from Andy Corson from Surly with a permission to publish it. However he pointed out that this is his prototype and it differs from the production version which will be in a different color (purple sparkle coat) and have black side walls instead of tan.

I love SURLY
they are able to extend the most basic ideas of the bicycle in the most simple yet so simple ways...
SURLY=Utilitarian...
not light
but moderately affordable
and most definitely functional

I have the Karate Monkey set up with 29 inch wheels....
the 22 inch frame fits me so well that it ruins me on all my 26 inch wheel mountain bikes as well as my poorly fitting cross bike I own....

seriously considering getting a Surly Cross Check and building it up to fit right...
may actually have the wisdom to just get a frame and swap out the parts...
my wallet is not as rich as my tastes

The purple very-fat-tire Surly showed up at the February MnHPVA meeting. It's said to just float over snow.
